If you are a lover of good food
and wine and are planning on visiting Seville
then this is designed with you in mind. Your culinary
tour will be based in the beautiful city of Seville
in Andalusia, Spain. Offering you an unrivalled
choice of food and wine activities, including
gastronomic breaks, one-day excursions, cooking
lessons, wine-tastings and tapas tours.
Seville is only a short distance away from where
some of Spain´s greatest gastronomic and
vinous treasures can be found. The great sherry
wines, brandy and vinegar from the region of Jerez
are a stone´s throw away, as is the Sierra
of Huelva where the world´s finest ham is
produced. Superb olive oils are also made in locations
that are close to Seville, you will also visit
the finest bars in Seville and sample some wonderful
tapas. Through these activities you will discover
many delights, and if you are a keen cook you
will learn how to make them!

Cooking Classes. |

You will have the opportunity to
learn to make a variety of authentic dishes - from
basic to much more elaborate ones. Great stews,
traditional meat dishes, seafood recipes, vegetable
dishes, salads, desserts with a Moorish influence,
to list a few. Hands-on classes take place in the
historic centre of Seville. Before your class you
will be taken on a market visit where you will purchase
many of the ingredients for the dishes you are going
to learn to prepare. After the class you will sit
down to a delicious lunch with wine. Weather permitting;
you will sit out on the balcony with wonderful views
overlooking the cathedral and Giralda.

Seville is possibly the best city
in Spain for tapas. It has the largest number of
bars per capita anywhere, offering an amazing range
of food. There’s something for everybody whether
it be meat, seafood, vegetables, olives, cheese
etc. You name it, somebody is sure to have used
it in a tapa. You will explore all the best places
to eat in and around Seville.

About Your Tour. |

You will experience a series
of delicious activities related to food and wine,
with the emphasis on offering a high quality personalized
service. The aim is to provide you with an authentic
experience in Seville and the surrounding area
which differs from the normal tourist-orientated
activities. Seville is a beautiful atmospheric
city where life is lived to the fullest and where
eating and drinking well are taken very seriously.
The excursions include wine tours to the towns
of Jerez and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, an
Iberian ham tour to the Sierra of Aracena and
an olive oil tour which takes you to the Sierra
of Grazalema. In the cooking classes you will
learn to prepare a large range of Spanish and
Andalusian dishes. Your guide is Roger Davies
who is originally from the UK but has lived in
Spain since 1987. He became passionately interested
in Spanish food and wine soon after arriving in
the country. This led him to work in the Spanish
wine industry for a number of years before deciding
to start culinary tours at the start of 2002.
