Your Route. |
 |
Discover the authentic gourmet cuisine and culture of Seville and Cordova, this culinary tour features a genuine approach to the most traditional roots of Spanish cooking and to the most outstanding cuisine made at the moment in Spain by avant-garde chefs. What a better way to bring to you the tastes of Andalusia than to take you directly into an Andalusian kitchen. Join us for a week in Seville and Cordova, the last Muslim Kingdom in Spain, and learn about the Arabic legacy still present in the succulent cuisine of this beautiful Eastern Andalusian region.
Andalusia, land of olive-trees, deep blue skies and whitewashed towns… Your visit is focused in the Western Andalusia provinces: Seville, Huelva, Cadiz, and Cordova. Seville has inspired travellers for centuries. Its beauty and charm come from a mixture of many elements; its legacy of great Moorish and Christian architecture, the myths of Carmen and Don Juan, flamenco music, its incomparable fiestas, the brilliant sunshine, its inhabitants who live life to the fullest... The list goes on and on. And your hotels, in the historic centre of Seville (4 nights) and Cordova (2 nights), are some of the most charming in the cities and will serve as the perfect bases for your stay there.

The Cities. |
 |
Seville.
Seville is also a great place for discovering the cuisine and wines of Andalusia. The city itself is considered by many to be the best place in Spain for tapas, the small portions of food served in almost every bar in the city. There is something to suit all tastes be it meat, seafood, vegetables, charcuterie, olives, cheese etc. Also, without having to travel far from Seville we will visit the areas where fine sherry, superb ham and high-quality olive oil are produced. That is Jerez in the province of Cadiz for Sherry, Sierra de Aracena (North of Huelva province) for Iberico ham and Cordova for olive oil.
Cordova.
Cordova is a rural province far from the topics of the coastal Andalusia. We will visit its countryside, land of olive groves, vineyards, small orchards and smooth downs. We will visit an old traditional olive oil mill. We will learn how to taste their different olive oils and discover Cordovan cuisine which has its own recipes like "Salmorejo", local version of "Gazpacho".

Food |
 |
Spain boasts a rich variety
of gastronomic pleasures that could only be brought
about by its unique climatic and cultural diversity.
Surrounded in the North and West by the cold-water
Atlantic, on the South and East by the warm watered
Mediterranean, the Iberian Peninsula for centuries
has been a melting pot of Latin, Arabian, Jewish,
and modern Christian cultures. Not to mention
being at the forefront of discovery, and subsequent
trading with the Americas.

Landscape |
 |
Spain´s culinary blessing does not end with its coastline. Several of the largest mountain ranges in Europe, mixed with the high plains of Castille and unique animal life combined with the diversity of the valleys and microclimates throughout the Iberian Peninsula, allow for the largest Mediterranean crops of main agricultural products (olive oil, oranges, wines, fruits, vegetables...). A further blessing - the age-old towns and traditions have been maintained throughout the centuries, blending the cultures of various worlds with the local raw materials to produce truly unique, authentic, regional culinary delights. The route will take you through a land of contrasts, where the warm Mediterranean waters bathe the foot of the highest mountain range in mainland Spain.
