7 days in Catalonia - a food
lover’s paradise. Unpack and relax, you
stay here for a week. And we have a wide range
of cultural explorations; your experience will
be a journey of tastes. We feature a ‘Sample
Itinerary’ which offers a suggested culinary
program. Modifications to the program are easy
enough as we’re flexible. Each outing is
of course subject to weather, availability and
whether or not it compliments your interests.
Rest assured that an exceptional week is planned
to highlight the very best of the region. You
will enjoy fabulous wine tastings, informative
guided tours, markets and delicious gourmet food.

Day 2
(overnight)
Arrival Tuesday at the Barcelona Airport where
you’ll be met and whisked away to “Can
Miquelet del Mano” - a 4th generation family
house where you’ll stay in the small town
of El Masroig. The driving time is about 1 hour
& 45 minutes through picturesque countryside.
Check in and settle in to your rooms.
A welcome aperitif is served (which is actually
almost a meal!) while you hear all about what
your culinary week has in store.
This afternoon you’ll visit the Celler de
Capçanes Winery in Capçanes, which
includes an extensive full tour of the premises,
with a complete explanation of how their wines
are made. This also includes a wine tasting.
In the evening partake in the official welcome
at “Can Miquelet del Mano” with your
first cooking class followed by dinner. Your delicious
Catalan dinner will be made with local produce
and served with high quality wines from the impressive
Celler de Capçanes…savour the moment.

Day 3
(overnight)
Wake up to your tasty breakfast served up at 8:30.
Get some fresh country air with a walk to the
Cooperativa de El Masroig Winery and Vineyards,
followed by a tour of the winery, including a
wine tasting session.
Have your lunch at El cairat Restaurant in Falset.
Free time this afternoon in El Masroig, an excellent
time for a siesta, a walk or perhaps a stroll
through the town, and the nearby vineyards and
olive groves, taking in the beauty and peacefulness
of the area!
Your 3-hour Catalan cuisine class with only the
best and freshest ingredients is followed by dinner
with a selection of wines from the Cooperative
of El Masroig.

Day 4 (overnight)
Breakfast at 8:30.
This morning take a trip to the Costers del Siurana
Winery (producers of Clos de l'Obac) in Gratallops.
Your adventure includes a tour of the vineyards,
the winery, and a wine tasting session.
Eat lunch together at the reputable Celler de
Gratallops restaurant.
Free time in El Masroig. Time for a siesta, a
walk, or to enjoy a book in the living room.
We’ll have an official olive oil tasting
session – liquid gold of the region.
Today’s Catalan cuisine class will be followed
by dinner paired with a selection of wines from
the Costers del Siurana Winery.

Day 5 (overnight)
Breakfast at 8:30.
This morning’s excursion adventure will
take you to Scala Dei where we first have a guided
tour of the Cartusian Monastery, a historical
landmark - the first monastery of the Iberian
Peninsula. There are several ruins from pre-Iberian
settlements as well as vestiges of the Romans’
presence. The most notable historic feature though,
is the “Cartoixa”, or monastery of
Escaladei. Soon after the Islamic domination which
ended in 1153, a group of Cartusian monks were
sent there from France in order to establish their
presence in Catalonia.
Then you visit the Conreria de Scala Dei Winery,
which includes some wine sampling. Lunch will
be served back at Can Miquelet del Mano.
Free time in El Masroig.
Wine tasting session in the wine cellar at Can
Miquelet del Mano, presented by the enologist
from the Conreria de Scala Dei winery, followed
by dinner with a selection of the wines sampled
during the tasting session.

Day 6 (overnight)
Breakfast at 8:30.
This morning you’ll Visit Reus where you
will do the "Gaudi" route. You’ll
have free time for some shopping…you might
want to think about the souvenirs that you’ve
wanted to pick up as today will be your last day
to explore the shops.
Enjoy a yummy traditional tapas lunch in Reus.
Free time this afternoon.
Cooking class followed by dinner of course with a selection of wines from the Priorat.

Day 7 (overnight)
Breakfast at 8:30.
Visit the lead mines of Bellmunt, followed by a visit to the Mas d'En Gil winery in Bellmunt. A delicious lunch at the Aspic restaurant in Falset.
The afternoon gives you free time.
Your last Catalan cuisine class is followed by
diploma presentation (congratulations) and dinner
of course with wines from the Priorat.
