In the heart of rural Tuscany,
a sun drenched land where time stands still, the
Villa is nestled in the village of Ripoli di Lari.
It is set amidst a serene country side of ancient
cypress and gently rolling hills with mellow stone
farm houses, solitary monasteries, gently preserved
medieval towns and picturesque walled villages,
yet within easy driving distance to the great
cities of Florence (45 min), Siena (50 min), and
the popular Pisa (20 min) with its famous leaning
tower and the Italian Riviera (35 min).
The Villa, while maintaining its characteristic
style and friendly old-world charm, is equipped
with all the latest modern facilities. From the
24 spacious guest bedrooms, decorated with typical
Tuscan style furnishings, to the spacious private bath
facilities (also includes minibar, direct dial telephone and
cable television), you can admire the vineyards
and olive groves in the tranquil and peaceful
surrounding countryside...

The Cooking
School. |

Your culinary vacation consists
of ten days and nine nights with morning cooking
classes seven out of the ten days. Classes will
be instructed by resident Chef Marietta with some
courses instructed with Umberto or other regional
chef's in the Professional Cooking School. The course
will specialize in pasta, Tuscan bread making, Cucina
Povera (local food), and general Tuscan cuisine.
The package includes luxurious accommodation in
the 16th century restored Villa, cooking classes,
all gourmet meals (including villa house wine),
escorted excursions, wine and olive oil tastings.
Mornings begin with a cooking class. The meal prepared
during the class is served for that day's lunch.
In the afternoons excursions will include; Florence,
Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano Chianti Region as well
as visits to local markets, local wine producers,
wine tastings and cultural centers. Continental
breakfast, lunch, dinner and transfers to Pisa's
International Airport are included. Recreational
facilities include a swimming pool, a hard-surfaced
tennis court and 54 acres of rolling hills to walk,
jog, bike, and enjoy. You can also explore the world
of Michelangelo, Machiavelli and Leonardo da Vinci
as well as the delights of rural Tuscany, at your
leisure.

45 minutes south west of Florence.
