CULINARY TOURS MENU

How is a Gourmet Safari Culinary Vacation different from what other companies are doing?
We offer a different product and experience – it offers more choice and it’s more flexible than other culinary tours. We feature ultimate cooking classes in charming villas, B&B’s, farmhouses, inns and hotels - an outstanding portfolio of culinary vacations. A relaxed and informal one-week or one-day immersion into the food, local life and culture, you’ll walk away with a knowledge of local cooking and lifestyle and a taste for adventure…from cooking lessons with talented local chefs, excursions to local towns and cities, including visits to open air markets, vineyards, artisans who specialize in food and wine and sightseeing to local food festivals and events. Unconventional travel – stay with the locals and get as close to the culture as possible by experiencing the local cuisine - it’s like being invited into a week of local life.

Who goes on Gourmet Safari Culinary Vacations?
Travellers who love great food and wine, are culturally curious wanting to experience immersion into local culture. Gourmet Safari will attract a variety of people, a cross-section of all ages generally aged 35-65 years (all young at heart)…people in their 30’s and 70’s go too… What is common a love for food, adventure and exploration!

Can I bring someone who isn't participating in the classes?
No problem. Travel partners not participating in the cooking classes are always welcome. Picking and choosing from a myriad of experiences and activities, we will fully customize your Gourmet Safari for you and your travelling companion. Just let us know what your travel partner’s interests are.

Where do we stay?
We hand-picked villas, farmhouses, B&B’s, inns & hotels located in the countryside, off the beaten track. They are generally located close to smaller towns (although sometimes they are situated right in the heart of a city) & all accommodations reflect the charm and culture of the country. Our choices are always clean, well maintained, and generally offer a continental breakfast and a luxurious setting as the backdrop for your rich gastronomic adventure.

Are the cooking classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. The cooking class programs are designed for all levels from beginner to advanced, no previous experience required. Each class is conducted at a relaxed, informal pace.

What does the price include?

Most packages include 3 cooking classes and/or admittance to food or wine festivals, accommodations at villas, farmhouses, B&B’s or inns, daily gourmet breakfast, excursions and transfers to/from your accommodations.
